Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is primarily methane stored and transported at high pressures. This resource has established itself as a widely adopted energy solution in regions where there are no gas pipeline networks. Its outstanding features include its competitive price, high safety standards, constant availability and positive environmental impact.

CNG represents an ideal alternative for industry, especially for those that use liquefied petroleum gas, fuel oil or diesel in their processes.

Stages in CNG operation

The natural gas is compressed at a pressure of 250 bar in one of our compression plants and then stored in specialized containers, which will be transported by tractor-trailer through the country’s highway network.

Upon arrival at your plant, the specialized containers are placed in the unloading bays of the designated gas decompression area.

Subsequently, the specialized containers are connected to a decompression unit, whose purpose is to reduce the pressure of the Natural Gas to the conditions that your plant needs.

Finally, the Natural Gas goes to a measurement stage, where the variables of volume, temperature, pressure, among others, are monitored.

Through the GPS monitoring of the containers and the SCADA system of the equipment, a continuous and uninterrupted operation is achieved.

During the process stages there are various devices and valves, which are periodically inspected to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Innovative approach

SCADAFlex

Real-time monitoring of the operating parameters of the equipment used in the CNG service (Regulation and Measurement Stations, Decompression Station), with an easy access interface, alarms and customized reports.

NGV Tractor Units

Most of the tractor-trailers used in our operation are of new generation and use Natural Gas as fuel, which significantly reduces the emission of polluting gases compared to conventional fuels, contributing to greenhouse gas mitigation goals.

Key benefits

Emissions reduction

Emissions reduction

By using natural gas, emissions of CO2, NOx and particulate pollutants are significantly reduced compared to other fossil fuels.

Cost savings

Cost savings

A more economical alternative compared to other fuels, which means reduced operating costs of a plant

Reduction in maintenance costs

Reduction in maintenance costs

The cleaner combustion of natural gas reduces wear and tear on industrial equipment, resulting in more efficient and less costly maintenance.

Priority on safety

Priority on safety

Natural gas is lighter than air, which reduces the likelihood of dangerous accumulations, and safety systems and regular inspections ensure a safe working environment.

Accessibility

Accessibility

CNG is perfectly suited for industrial plants located in remote areas without access to pipelines.

Advanced technology
